Our studio is only an hour from Dublin and Belfast, our staff have great opportunities for weekend excursions to see the rest of the country, Dundalk is the main town of the Cooley Peninsula, containing the Cooley Mountains where you can hike or mountain bike, nice beaches for swimming or kayaking, a lively indie arts community and for those who prefer indoors; as part of Dundalk’s “Innovation Town” status - high speed internet access!
Along with other creative companies in the area, we formed “Creative Dundalk,” an collaborative organization of the local arts community, setting up social clubs in the town for various activities like life drawing, painting, collaborative art jams, music clubs, D&D night and board/tabletop games.
Our Studio
We want to look out for our crew, especially those moving to Dundalk for the first time, introducing them to the local arts community to embed them into the locality, explore the environment, make friends and build a life. The studio itself is at the northern end of the town, right beside the Castletown river estuary with a great river walk and park (full of dogs and pigeons!). Inside the building we have great big panoramic views of the countryside and sea which are brilliant for inspiration! We also have onsite parking along with secure bicycle lock up for those living local (the town has good cycle lanes throughout!)
