Where are these roles located?

Our studio is based in the town of Dundalk, Co Louth in the Republic of Ireland.

The job listing says ‘3 days a week in-studio’- can I work fully remote?

We are a 3 Day a week in-office studio, Tuesday-Thursday with remote working options for Monday and Friday- we have no fully remote roles available.

Do you have any space for Interns?

We take a limited number of Interns each year and we announce job listings for them at the appropriate times, we cannot accept any applications outside these periods. Stay tuned to our socials for job listings

Do you accept applicants from the United States/ other countries?

We can only accept applicants that are legally eligible to work in the Republic of Ireland without a visa, so generally European Union countries and the UK are the only countries that do not need visas to work with us.

The role I am looking for is not listed yet, can I send my reel and CV via email?

We cannot accept any job applications via email or messages due to high volume of applicants and  as there's always the danger the info may get lost in someone's spam folder, while email applications can also end up going to the wrong individual.

As a rule we only accept applications through the designated web portal that we post when we have a job listing available

I have a great script idea, can I send it to you?

We cannot accept unsolicited scripts or other material. Any material of this kind will be deleted.

Are people who mainly do frame-by-frame animation still a good fit for the animator position?

 If you don't have experience with ToonBoom that's okay but it is a bonus if you have any Technical knowledge of Toon Boom Harmony.

Why is Elk Studios' Hybrid?

We’ve chosen to work like this as we are a creative industry and need to come together in person to collaborate as a team and to work through any issues as they arise.  It’s a great way for all of us to upskill and learn from one another.  Being able to work from home 2 days a week, allows flexibility to our work/life balance.  Work Life balance is one of the guiding principles of our ethos, and we feel that the 3/2 day split goes some way in achieving this.
